Solstice Soundbath Benefit
Join us for this special Winter Solstice Soundbath Benefit, where we come together to heal, integrate, and face 2026 stronger and renewed. This is a donation-based soundbath, where 100% of the proceeds will go to Immigrant Defenders Law Center (“ImmDef”). If you would like to come in-person, please RSVP via email (see below) as space is limited. No donation is too small or too big when given in and with love.
We gather in community (in-person and online) to work with the Winter Solstice Energies, and inspire a favorable transition for ourselves and our most vulnerable communities. The Mexica (aka Aztec) celebrated the Tititl rite on the Winter Solstice, wherein the third-gendered aspect of Cihucoatl (snake woman) made an appearance, principally to propel and secure an auspicious seasonal transition. Third-gendered deities were critical in helping us to transition out of liminal periods, including unfavorable ones. We delve into these understandings to procure healing, revitalization, and positive shifts.
We start with shamanic breathwork and trance journeys to work with the sacred energies of the Winter Solstice. Once we cleansed and revitalized ourselves with shamanic breathwork, a White Fire Limpia, everyone will lie down and receive the healing vibrations from a sound bath. The sound bath will include crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, gongs, drums, and medicine songs providing a lush soundscape for deep meditative journeying and melodies to heal and strengthen the heart.
In this ceremony, you will:
• Connect and manifest with the sacred energies of the Winter Solstice
• Receive vibrational healing through sound baths and icaros (medicine songs)
• Engage in shamanic breathwork to cleanse and revitalize
• Indulge in a 30 minute soundbath with crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, gongs and medicine songs
What’s needed:
• Something to lie down on: yoga mat or small blanket

Soundscape Facilitator: Miguel Buenaflor, Conscious Musician
Miguel has performed medicine music in over 100+ various shamanic ceremonies in the Yucatan and in the US. Versed in songs of healing and awakening through many languages, he transcends the language barrier through his passionate play-style and serenading guitar melodies. As a student of Truth, his music aims to spread love and awaken hearts, one melody at a time.
Erika blends her 25+ years of practicing as a curandera, mentoring, and studying Mesoamerican Curanderismo. She has a master’s degree in religious studies with a focus on Mesoamerican shamanism and curanderismo. She has written Cleansing Rites of Curanderismo, Curanderismo Soul Retrieval, Sacred Energies of the Sun and Moon, Animal Medicine, Veneration Rites of Curanderismo, and created the Mesoamerican Oracle Cards. As a modern-day curandera, she excels at translating and applying this sacred knowledge to help her clients realize and live their BLISS.
